Era Infra bags Rs 128-cr contract from Mumbai Railway Corp

Era Infra Engineering (EIEL) has secured contracts worth Rs 128 crore in Maharashtra from Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVCL) for escalators and other provisions at some stations in Mumbai.

"EIEL, an integrated infrastructure company with pan-India presence has been awarded a contract valuing Rs 127.87 crore by MRVCL," the company said in a filing with the BSE.

The contracts have been awarded for "procurement of trespassing control measures, including provisions of escalators" at Mumbai stations, it added.

The company said the contracts including Rs 30 crore award for such measures at Thakurli and Kalyan stations, Rs 60 crore for Kurla and Dadar stations and Rs 37 crore for Bhayander, Vasai Road and Nallasopara stations.
 

The shares of the company closed at Rs 13.30 apiece, up 4.97 per cent, from its previous close on the BSE.
