The Election Commission's latest introduction ERONET was today launched in Meghalaya, promising time bound enrolment, rectification and replacement of voter cards.
The service was launched in all 11 districts in the state by the respective election returning officers and a state launch here at the deputy commissioner's officer, Chief Election Officer F R Kharkongor said.
"The ERONET is similar to when you apply for a passport nowadays. Under this service, voters can apply for new voter cards, transfer and rectify and update their voter cards through this portal," he said.
The ERO-Net portal will ensure time bound delivery of services and the portal will also enable applicants to upload their personal documents in a PDF format for the verification process, he said.
