Entertainment firm Eros International Media today reported a 29.77 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 67.16 crore for the quarter ended December 2017 impacted by lower number of film releases.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 95.64 crore during the same period of the previous fiscal, Eros International Media said in a regulatory filing.

Total income during the quarter under review fell 38.95 per cent to Rs 204.97 crore as against Rs 335.78 crore in the year ago period.

"Total Income was lower on account of the lower number of film releases, however, catalogue sales momentum led to healthy profitability," the company said.

Eros's total expenses were at Rs 122.86 crore in Q3 in the fiscal 2017-18 as against Rs 215.11 crore, down 42.88 per cent.
