Eros International Q1 net down 10 pc to Rs 47.86 cr

Entertainment firm Eros International Media today reported 10.47 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit at Rs 47.86 crore for the June quarter on account of lower income.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 53.46 crore during the same period of previous fiscal, Eros International Media said in a BSE filing.

Net sales during the quarter under review stood at Rs 259.62 crore as against Rs 410.36 crore in the year ago period, down 36.73 per cent.

"Our portfolio approach with an objective to build a healthy regional slate served us well as we are seeing growth across the regional languages," Eros International Media Ltd Executive Vice Chairman and MD Sunil Lulla said.
 

The stock closed 2.99 per cent down at Rs 189.85 on BSE.
