Escaped undertrial apprehended again in arrested

An undertrial, who escaped from police custody, was today nabbed by a police team from Chhata Railway Station in the district.

Mubin, a resident of Shergarh village was nabbed when he was waiting for a train to leave from Mathura, DSP Peeyush Kumar said.

The accused had managed to flee byforcibly snatching the other end of the handcuffs held by constable Kaptan Singh at Patel Chowk here on Sunday afternoon, he said.

"Constable Kaptan Singh with a Homeguard was taking the undertrial, Mubin to Chhatta PrimaryHealth Centre by a motorcycle for his medical examination when he got the other end of handcuffing cord released by giving a jerk and fled by jumping a nearby wall on Sunday," constable Kaptan Singh had said in his report.
 

Mubin is an accused in a case lodged against him under Indian Penal Code (IPC) section 420 (cheating).
