In order to woo Indian students for higher education opportunities in Europe, the EU would be organising a education fair in three cities in the country.
The European Higher Education Fair, which will be inaugurated by Union Human Resources Department Minister Smriti Irani on November 30 in the National Capital, will see over 100 institutes participating from some 23 countries from the continent.
Of these, France, Germany and United Kingdom alone has some 17 institutes exhibiting in the fair while Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Portugal, Spain, Malta and Lithuania will have more than four institutes participating.

"European institutes offer value for money as they are less expensive compared to the United States. As per the Times (global education institutes) ranking, some 6 universities are in top 100 and 23 universities are in top 400.
"For the Indians students, studying in Europe can provide a platform to seek higher education, but also know and understand Europe works," EU Ambassador Joao Cravinho told reporters here today.
The Ambassador said that some 50,000 Indian students are studying in Europe.
The main focus of the education fair would to be target students looking for post-graduate opportunities, but it will also cater to students looking for under-graduate courses.
The fair would also have seminars on different aspects like cost of staying in Europe, mobility and transport, finance, necessary for stay and study in Europe, he said.
Europe has some 4000 higher education institutes- from top level research establishments to small, teaching-focussed colleges with more than 19 million students and 1.5 million academicians.
Cravinho said different scholarships are being offered to students of which Erasmus Mundus offers full scholarship.
"Some 3400 students have been benefitted due to the programme," he added.
