Speaker D Jayakumar said the European Parliament Delegation for Indian Relations was headed by Sir Graham Watson.
The members were seated in the visitors gallery and watched the proceedings when Industries Minister P Thangamani was replying to grants for his department.
Intervening briefly, the Speaker made an announcement about the delegation's visit, following which all members, including Chief Minister Jayalalithaa welcomed them by thumping the desks.
