Actress Eva Mendes, who has lost weight for her new film 'The Place Beyond The Pines', says she is not worried about the way she looks.
The 39-year-old said to get her latest role as downtrodden Romina in upcoming crime drama, she made herself look as plain as possible for her audition for director Derek Cianfrance, reported Sun Online.
"I went kind of Jersey Girl on him and looked plain simple. Then I took the dedication one step further by embarking on a strict diet and losing about 15lb for the film, as I thought that it would add to the role's sense of being a little lost or sadder," she said.
Mendes, who is dating actor Ryan Gosling , also confessed that she has gained most of her weight back as she didn't like the hard and toned look.
