Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif could one day fall victim to the controversial anti-terror bill that gave sweeping powers to security forces, Bilawal Bhutto, the chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party, warned today.
"If #PPO (Protect Pakistan Ordinance) passes in its current form one day PM NS will be arrested using it. I hope the senate does the right thing and does not let it pass," Bilawal, the son of the slain prime minister Benazir Bhutto, tweeted.
"Tahafuzz-e-Pakistan" or PPO was passed by the National Assembly last Monday.

All the opposition parties staged a walkout from the National Assembly when the bill was presented and the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan and Imran Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf have said they will challenge it in the court.
The controversial anti-terror law has become the topic of much debate in Pakistan, with critics and opposition members saying it gives sweeping powers to security agencies to infringe the fundamental rights of the citizens guaranteed under the Constitution.
Opposition parties have vowed to stop the legislation from being passed into law without significant amendments.
