Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) has been formally tested in troubled Tirap and Longding districts in Arunachal Pradesh for April 9 Lok Sabha election in the state.
Kamlesh Kumar Joshi, district electoral officer for Tirap and Longding districts, commissioned EVMs yesterday in presence of the nodal officer, EVM and other officials, official sources said here today.
All the EVMs have been sealed after making them ready to use. The sealed EVMs will be kept in the strong room for issuance during the polls on April 9, sources said.

After the completion of preparation of EVMs for the Parliamentary elections, the EVMs for the Assembly elections would be commissioned.
The officials have only three days to complete all the exercises.
The EVM operation training would be held at different locations shortly in which the master trainers and experts will impart training to the polling officials, sources said.
In the meantime, other poll related preparations are going on in full swing in both the districts.
The much awaited randomization of polling personnel has also been completed.
All poll preparations are going on in a peaceful atmosphere.
There is no report of any untoward incident from any quarter, sources added.
