Delhi's South District administration has unearthed a racket of document forgers who prepared fake income certificates for admissions under the EWS quota seats in prominent schools of the city.
Thirteen cases of fake income certificates with forged signatures of concerned Tehsildar have been detected and six FIRs have been registered in this connection, said Niharika Rai, District Magistrate of South district.
The SDMs in the district were directed to collect records of last three years admissions under EWS quota and also to probe the role of schools in this regard.

The DM has also sought records of the applicants under EWS quota admissions in the current session, from the Education department.
The income certificates and other details of these applicants will be verified to detect any anomaly, she added.
Two persons were caught in a raid by the administration from Said ul Ajaib area in the district a few days ago.
