Former MLA and Chairman of Rajapalayam Municipality, A.A.Subburaja, died today after a brief illness, sources close to his family said.
Subburaja (80) was an independent MLA from 1967-70 and was Chairman of the Municipality for 27 years.
He was also Vice-Chairman of the Municipality from 2006-11.
