A former Army Colonel and two others, arrested on the charge of carrying ephedrine tablets, have been released on bail by a special court of the Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) in Manipur.
Former defence spokesperson in Manipur Colonel, Ajay Choudhury, former assistant manager of Indigo airlines, Ngairangbam Brojendro and a former army sepoy R K Babloo were released on bail yesterday, official sources said today.
The three had been arrested in February along with four others including the son of a sitting Congress MLA after a large number of ephedrine tablets were recovered from them by Thoubal police commandos, sources said.
While Choudhury and two others were released yesterday, the remaining four had been given bail on Monday by the same court, sources added.
