Ex-Foreign secretary rekindles childhood memories at MRC

It was a trip down memory lane for former Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao when she visited the Madras Regimental Centre and Records at nearby Wellington, today.

Nirupama's father, late Major PVR Menon, had headed the Madras Regiment Records as Chief Records Officer from 1962 to 1965 and Nirupama did her early schooling at nearby Coonoor, a MRC release said today.

Accompanied by her husband, Sudhakar Rao, former Karnataka Chief Secretary, Nirupama visited the Regimental Museum and Record office, where she rekindled her childhood memories, after visiting her father's office.

Moreover, she dedicated her achievement to her army background and thanked MRC for the gesture, it said.
