Ex-gratia paid to victims of Hyderabad twin blasts

Andhra Pradesh government has paid Rs 6 lakh ex-gratia each to the families of 16 persons who lost their lives in the twin bomb blasts here last month.

The government has also borne the expenses of treatment of 100 people injured in the blasts. Out of them, 62 have been discharged from various hospitals after full recovery, an official release said here today.

Of the 62, 24 were given ex-gratia of Rs one lakh each, while 38 were given ex-gratia of Rs 50,000 each.

The government has also directed that food and other facilities be provided to the relatives of the injured persons who are still undergoing treatment.
 

Sixteen persons were killed and 116 sustained injuries in the twin blasts last month.
