Former Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Arjun Munda today expressed confidence that BJP-led NDA will fair well in the ensuing assembly poll in Bihar, where a strong wave was sweeping for a change.

The people of Bihar are strongly in favour of a change in the state even as attempts are on to promote caste-based politics, Munda told newsmen here soon after inaugurating a mega trade fair "Canvas India-2015 promoted by Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).

Bihar will witness a change following the election as a strong wave was sweeping across the state in favor of BJP-led NDA, Munda said.

Bihar politics is not national politics but the people of the state have made up their mind to bring in change, he observed.

The former CM regretted that the issue of "beef" was being made an agenda in the polls.

Munda complimented the Jharkhand government for deft handling of the recent communal flare-up.

Referring to the inadequate rainfall causing desperation among the state farmer community, Munda called upon the state government to assess the losses suffered due to deficit monsoon and make alternative arrangement to compensate the farmers.

Munda expressed hope that even a good spell of monsoon now could revive the hope of farmers to have bumper crop.
