A former Sarpanch of Nahar villager has been booked on the charges of molestation following a complaint filed by a Dalit medical officer here.
The complainant alleged that former Sarpanch Kalyan Singh had made a bid to outrage her modesty during duty hours in a Primary Health Centre, police said today.
Though the incident took place on June 11, the case was registered yesterday after a preliminary probe by a senior police official found the charges prima facie correct, they said.
Efforts are on to apprehend the accused.
