French Minister for Higher Education, Research and Innovation, Frdrique Vidal today inaugurated the New Horizon College of Engineering's Centre of Excellence (CoE) for Engineers here.
The CoE has been set up following a tripartiteMemorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the college,Schneider Electric and the French Ministry of NationalEducation, a release said.
It said the centre would carry out vocational training programmes in the initial and continuing education in the fields of electricity, automation and energy management.
"New Horizon College of Engineering is the first Engineering/Technology College to have partnered with the French Government to set up a centre to skill engineers in India."
"We look forward to more such associations in future and we are glad to be a part of this effort made by the college to strengthen/upgrade knowledge and professional skills of teachers, students and customers," Vidal said.
Additionally, a Partnership Agreement was signedbetween Cluster President of CMQ3E (High Schools, HigherEducational Institutions,companies and other public,privateinstitutions), Rouen-France and New Horizon College ofEngineering, with an aim to strengthen the overall education systems and processes for teachers as well as students.
