Excellent parliamentarian, who had good rapport with the opposition, says CPI on Swaraj

Describing former foreign minister Sushma Swaraj as an excellent parliamentarian and a leader who had "good rapport" with all opposition parties, the CPI on Wednesday paid homage to the departed leader.

In a statement, CPI general secretary D Raja said Swaraj would be sorely missed

"The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India (CPI) expresses its sorrow at the passing away of former foreign minister and former chief minister of Delhi Sushma Swaraj who was one of the respected political leaders and best parliamentarians.

"She was an excellent parliamentarian. She had good rapport with all opposition parties," the statement said.

Raja, along with CPI leaders Atul Kumar Anjaan, Binoy Viswam and other national secretaries of the party paid floral tributes to Swaraj.
