Stating that it was a BJP policy to run the government in coordination with allies, Uttar Pradesh BJP President Mahendra Nath Pandey today advised the NDA's alliance partners to exercise "restraint" in their language.

"We are the country's biggest party. We run with their (allies) support and coordination. The matter is in our knowledge. Attempts are made at personal level... Our policy is that we will win over allies through talks," Pandey told reporters here.

He was responding to a question relating to certain controversial outbursts against the Yogi Adityanath government by Om Prakash Rajbhar, who heads the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party and is a UP cabinet minister.

"We request the minister to fulfil his duties and practise restraint in his language," Pandey said, adding that "the right decision will be taken at the right time".

He, however, declined to elaborate.

About the Kairana and Noorpur bye-elections, he said, "The BJP is getting support of all sections of society. We are contesting in a coordinated and well-planned manner.
