A total of 61 paintings which were produced during three artist camps conducted by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations over three years are on display at the exhibition which was inaugurated by Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai.
A few paintings done by child artists from South Asia also find space in the exhibition which is titled 'Colours of SAARC'.
Several artists from all SAARC countries came together to participate in these camps to strengthen cultural bonding among their nations.
In his brief speech, Mathai pitched for more such exhibitions in the future and complimented the efforts of ICCR in this regard.
The exhibition is part of the South Asia festival organised by the ICCR.
