An exorcist allegedly raped a minor girl and strangulated her to death in Piprauli village under Thathiya police station area, police said today.
The accused had taken the girl and her parents to perform some kind of worship when he committed the alleged crime.
Police said the exorcist took the girl to a secluded place and allegedly raped and strangulated her to death when her parents were busy in prayers with their eyes closed.
The exorcist was arrested from Phagua-Bhatta Tirwa Road yesterday, police added.
