A suspicious object found on an empty Israeli bus near Tel Aviv exploded today but caused no casualties, police said.
Spokeswoman Luba Samri said in a statement that a police sapper called to the scene in the seaside town of Bat Yam was examining the object when it exploded, but he was unhurt.
