Police have recovered explosive material, including four detonators from a stream in Katra belt of Reasi district here.

Four detonators, six gelatin sticks and some wires were recovered yesterday from Painthal nullah (stream) in Katra, the base camp of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), a police officer said.

The official noted that the explosives might have been used by a nearby mining factory in the area and washed away in the stream.

A case has been registered in the matter and the probe is on, police said.
