Explosives worth Rs 1.50 cr seized

A huge quantity of explosives valued at Rs 1.50 crore was seized today from a quarrying site near Karkala during a raid, police said.

The accused is absconding, Udupi Superintendent of Police Borelinge Gowda said.

Police conducted the raid in view of the Lok Sabha polls in the state scheduled to be held on April 17.
