Export from Himachal Pradesh touched Rs 4,496 crore by November 2016 against that of Rs 5,849.46 crore in 2015-16, a state official said today.
Director of Industries, Rajesh Sharma, today directed all General Managers to submit the export plan, detail of MSME units in the districts so that export potential of each district could be realised for economic upliftment of agro- industrial sectors in the state, a release said.
He was presiding over atwo-day workshop on "Developing Export Plan for Himachal Pradesh" organised by Regional Centre for MSME Studies here.
A detailed presentation on export potential and opportunities and challenges being faced by MSME units was made by the General Managers of all the districts. A tentative export plan for each district was also prepared and discussed in the workshop.
