BJP today refused to comment on the expulsion of former Union Minister M K Alagiri from DMK, saying it was an internal matter of the party.
"It is the internal matter of DMK, why they have suspended him or why they expelled him. We have no comment to make," senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu told reporters here.
When asked about Alagiri cosying up to BJP leaders, Naidu said the party cannot stop somebody who is volunteering to support its Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.

Calling Modi the "darling of masses", Naidu claimed that the party is receiving support from unexpected quarters.
Cracking the whip, DMK today expelled a defiant Alagiri as his rancour against the party and its leadership continued unabated, threatening to derail its prospects in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
DMK supremo M Karunanidhi announced the expulsion of his elder son Alagiri, who targeted the party even after warning and suspension.
Taking advantage of the running feud in the first family of DMK, Vaiko (MDMK) and H Raja (BJP), who are contesting in elections met Alagiri in the past few days seeking his support in the polls, causing acute discomfiture to DMK.
Alagiri has also said he would welcome Modi becoming Prime Minister, claiming there was a wave in favour of the BJP leader.
The former Union Minister also met BJP President Rajnath Singh during his recent visit to Delhi.
