BJP MLA Bimla Pradhan today said extremists do not belong to any caste or reglion, but are a group of violent people.
Addressing a programme--- "kiya khoya, kiya paya" organised by Simdega district police to address problems of dependends of those families who lost members in naxal violence, Pradhan said rooting out extremism was possible through the police and representatives of the people and coopoeration by the common people.
Development has to be done through coordination among everyone and misguided youth should be brought back to the mainstream, the former minister was further quoted as saying in the press release.
JMM MLA Poulis Surin said that the government has taken constructive steps to curb extremism.
He described extremism as a serious problem for the country, state and society and commented extortion at gun point has affected development and hurting economy and society.
Surin asked every family, which had been a victim of left wing extremism, to make efforts in bringing back deviated people and promised police would cooperate.
Stating that the extremists have deviated from their agenda with extortion, killing and abduction becoming their main 'profession', Surin appealed to the ultras to surrender and make the future of their families bright, for which the government was ready to give them all benefits.
