Unmukt scored an impressive century during India's seven-wicket victory against Australia in the final.

"It's been a huge confidence booster facing Pat Cummins. At the U-19 level, you don't get to play fast bowlers of Cummins' calibre. Out of my six sixes, I hit him for a couple and it felt good. Obviously, in my two seasons of domestic cricket, I haven't played anyone faster than Cummins and it made me feel that I have the ability to play real quicks," Unmukt told PTI during an interation.

Unmukt, who is with the Delhi Dardevils feels that playing at Townsville will help in their preparation for U-19 World Cup where India will play their matches at that same venue.

"The nature of the wicket won't change much in June. I believe playing in Townsville really helped. We do have some issues with the top-order but that would be sorted out."

It is highly unlikely that Unmukt will get a chance to play for Daredevils who boasts of a very strong batting line-up.

"I know it's tough but all I can do is to wait for my chance. However, everyone has been pretty helpful. TA Sekar sir was in touch when I was in Australia. When I came back, my teammates have congratulated me."

This is the first time that Unmukt is getting a chance to share the dressing room with Kevin Pietersen, Mahela Jayawardene and Ross Taylor and he wants to soak in as much information as possible.
