Four godowns of a tyre resoling factory were destroyed in a major fire at the Jagatpur industrial area, 15 km from here today, fire brigade sources said.
Two fire brigade personnel received minor injuries during the fire-fighting operations in the factory stocked with rubber and other highly inflammable materials, the sources said.
Eight fire tenders battled the blaze for six hours before putting it out.
There was no worker in the factory when the fire broke out in the early morning, they added.
