The police have booked a 45-year-old man for allegedly molesting a widow who worked at his factory in the district.
An FIR was registered last night against the man, who runs a factory in the district for making'gudakhu' (a paste prepared from powdered tobacco and molasses), on charges of molesting the 25-year-old woman at his home under Kharsia police station area, sub-divisional officer of police (Kharsia) Ashok Wadegaonkar said.
As per the complaint, on the morning of October 21, the accused asked his accountant to call the woman to his home on the pretext of some work. When she reached there, he allegedly molested her, the SDOP said.

The accused also threatened the widow with dire consequences if she disclosed the incident to anyone, he said.
Based on the woman's complaint, the police last night registered the case against the man under IPC sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with an intent to outrage her modesty), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), the official said.
No arrest has been made so far, he said, adding that a probe is on into the case.
