Facts reveal different story in woman's gangrape case: Police

The Jaipur Police today contested the claims of a 22-year-old woman that she was raped by four persons in Jaipur are different from the actual picture and they will reveal the truth soon.

"The story is somewhat different from what was concocted by the girl. We have detained few persons for interrogation and will soon expose the entire story," DCP (South) Ashok Kumar Gupta told PTI.

On Tuesday morning, the girl had called up police control room alleging that four person raped and dumped her near MNIT, a prominent technical institute.

In her statement to the police, the woman alleged that as she reached reaching the Jaipur railway station after appearing in an exam in Alwar on Monday at 7.00 pm, she took an auto rickshaw to her rented accommodation in Jagatpura.
 

In the auto rickshaw, there were already four persons, who claimed to be passengers, and she was told she would have to pay less if she agreed to share the ride with them.

Later the accused took her to a city park and allegedly raped her. She was dumped near MNIT area at 5.00 am on Tuesday.

She then informed the police about the alleged incident, police said.

Police registered a case in the matter and after verification of the facts found a different story than what was claimed by the woman.
