Fadanvis to receive Nag Bhushan Award

City-based NGO The Nag Bhushan Foundation will honour Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis with 'Nag Bhushan' award for his various initiatives in the governance.

"Fadanvis, a son of the soil, who is the 4th chief minister from Vidarbha region, will be conferred with the award for taking initiatives like water conservation scheme, 'Jal Yukta Shivar', crop insurance scheme, food security Act implementation and for conceiving Nagpur-Mumbai super express communication highway," chairman of the Foundation, Prabhakar Mundle, told a press conference here today.

The award carries Rs 1 lakh cash, memento and citation. The ceremony date will be finalised after getting confirmation from the chief minister, he said.
 

Mundle said Fadanvis has also shown keen interest in giving a speed to the Nagpur Metro Rail project, Smart city project, setting up of IIM, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), National Law University and also a textile park in Amravati, secretary Girish Gandhi said.

Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Sancheti and former MLC Sagar Meghe along with Satyanarayan Nuwal and D R Mall are other members of the Foundation.
