The opposition Congress-NCP in Maharashtra today said the Devendra Fadnavis government has lost connect with the people and has failed to perform its duties properly.

The opposition reaction came in the backdrop of Fadnavis, while addressing the state BJP meeting yesterday, asked all leaders and party workers to reach out to 50 lakh homes and connect with 2 crore citizens and 25 lakh farmers for samvad (communication).

Taking a swipe at the 'samvad yatra' of Fadnavis, state Congress president Ashok Chavan said the government has lost connect with the people.

"The good response to the sangharsh yatra of opposition parties has rattled the government," he charged.

Echoing similar sentiments, leader of opposition in the state legislative council, Dhananjay Munde said, the three phases of sangharsh yatra have evoked a good response and has sounded a warning bell for the government.

"Chief minister Devendra Fadnavis should remember that he is chief minister and not in opposition. Instead of blaming the previous Congress-NCP government for farmers problems, he should focus on what he should do to mitigate the farmers hardships," he said.

Opposition Congress-NCP have embarked upon sangharsh yatra with a demand for farm loan waiver.
