Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today said that he plans to visit the kin of a 27-year-old Akola-based farmer Mangesh Umale, who committed suicide on Sunday.
Umale, who ended his life due to debt and crop losses, had mentioned in his suicide note that he was an admirer of Fadnavis and he wished that Maharashtra Chief Minister would visit his house in Akola.
Meanwhile, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) hit out at the Maharashtra Chief Minister for the growing number of farmers' suicides in the state.
