"We will review role of DM and SP of Faizabad and action will be taken it they were found guilty of laxity," IG (Law and Order) B P Singh said, asserting that the situation in the trouble-torn district was limping back to normalcy.
Adequate number of force had been deployed in the city to avoid any further trouble and depending on the situation, the curfew might be lifted later on, Singh said.
He said so far 26 persons have been arrested in connection with the violence and 13 FIRs have been registered.
The DM has been asked to collect details about the shops that were set ablaze by the mob during violence, so that their owners can be compensated.
One person was killed and 25 shops were set on fire during a clash between members of two communities over immersion of Durga idol on October 24, after which curfew was imposed in Faizabad yesterday.
