Superintendent of Police (SP) Jayant Kant said the police acting on a tip off raided the hide out of the man, identified as Abhay alias Ajay alias Vikas Kumar Rathode.
The police also seized fake identity cards, photographs, some documents and a motorcycle from him.
Kant said the man used to cheat innocent people of money by giving them false assurances of giving them jobs in private sector firms.
Abhay was arrested from the city earlier this year on a similar charge and was now on bail, he added.
