Fake currency notes seized from boy

Fake currency notes with a face value of Rs 1.06 lakh were seized from a boy in Bihar's East Champaran district today, official sources said.

The counterfeit notes were seized from the 14-year-old boy, Binod Kumar, when a private bus, going to Motihari from Siliguri in West Bengal, was searched near the Chakia check-post, the sources said.

The fake currency in denomination of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 were meant for delivery to a person in Bettiah, they said.

The boy was detained, they added.
