Fake currency notes seized in city

The Special Task Force (STF) of Kolkata Police has arrested three persons and recovered fake Indian currency notes with a face value of 4 lakh during a seizure in the central part of the city, police said Saturday.

During a raid, the anti-FICN team of the STF captured the three persons near the crossing of Beadon street and Jatindra Mohan Avenue under Burtolla police station on Friday night.

All the fake notes seized were in the denomination of Rs 2000, police said adding that efforts were on to find out if the arrested men belong to any gang.
