Fake currency notes seized in Hazaraibagh, one arrested

Fake currency notes with a face value of Rs 1.3 lakh were today seized from here and one person arrested, police said.

Acting on a tip-off, Mohammad Taz, who hails from Asansol in West Bengal, was arrested as soon as he got down from a bus at the new bus stand here, Superintendent of Police Akhilesh Kumar Jha, told newsmen.

Taz, who is a tailor by profession, told the police that he got the fake notes from one Bablu Khan of Burdwan and came here to exchange them with a man in lieu of original notes of Rs 55,000, Jha said.
