Fake currency seized from UP

Two persons were arrested from Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich district, about 125 km north- east of Lucknow, for allegedly printing and circulating fake Indian currency notes (FICN), the police said today.

Acting on a tip-off, Kamran and his brother, Rizwan, were arrested yesterday from a village in Fakharpur area of the district, Superintendent of Police Jugal Kishore said.

Fake notes of different denominations totalling Rs 1.25 lakh were recovered, along with material and machines used for printing, he added.
