Custom authorities today recovered fake Indian currency notes with face value of Rs 5 lakh from Samjhauta Express which arrived at Attari railway station from Pakistan.
The fake notes of denomination of Rs 500 were first noticed when the train was being washed and cleaned by the Railway employees who immediately brought into the notice of Custom Department, an official said.
No arrest has been made, since the fake currency was found abandoned and none of the passengers came forward to claim it, the official said.
