Fake currency notes with the face value of Rs 87,200 were seized from three persons in Madhya Pradesh's Jabalpur district, the police said Thursday.
While one of the accused, identified as Sachin Chakraborty, was arrested from Chandan forest area Wednesday night, two of his accomplices--Santosh Pandey and Kaushal Upadhya--were picked up from Shahdol and Rewa, respectively, a police official said.
He said Chakraborty had brought the counterfeit notes, in denominations of Rs 2000, Rs 500 and Rs 100, from West Bengal.
"Chakraborty also told police that he and his accomplices paid Rs 36,000 to procure fake currency with face value of Rs one lakh," the official said.
