A youth was today arrested for
posing as a Sub-Inspector and cheating people by collecting money on the pretext of getting them free houses from Telangana Government, police said.
Acting on credible information, a Commissioner's Task Force (South Zone) team arrested P Raghu, who went around posing as a Sub-Inspector attached to Nallakunta Police Station here.
"He also claimed to have political connections and collected thousands of rupees from gullible people on the pretext that he will get them sanctioned free houses from the Telangana Government," Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police N Koti Reddy said.
