Fakim becomes first village to use LED light in Nagaland

Fakim in Kiphire district today became the first village to use LED light in Nagaland, district Deputy Commissioner Chumremo Odyuo said.

The villagers deposited their traditional 100 watt incandescent light bulbs at the DC office and received 15 watt LED bulbs, making Fakim under Pungro Sub-Division as the first complete LED light lit village in the state, he said.

The village council also made a resolution to ban use of tungsten light bulbs.
