Fall in prices of select commodities

Barring price of sooji (90 kg) which increased, prices of urad dal,moong dal, gram dal,sugar,wheat and maida (90 kg) decreased while tur dal ruled steady in the wholesale foodgrains market here today.

Sooji (90 kg) rose by Rs 50 to Rs 2,650 from its closing rates of Rs 2,600.

Urad dal fell sharply by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs.8,300 from its yesterday's rates of Rs 8,600.

Moong dal and gram dal decreased by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs.9,400 and Rs.3,800 from its previous rates of Rs.9,500 and Rs.3,900 respectively.

Wheat fell by Rs.50 per quintal to Rs.2,600 from Rs.2,650.
 

Maida (90 kgs) decreased by Rs.50 to Rs.2,450 from Rs.2,500.

Price of sugar decreased marginally by Rs.20 per quintal to Rs.3,180 from Rs.3,200.

Tur dal ruled steady.

Following are the wholesale rates of various agri- commodities (in Rs per quintal, except where stated otherwise): Thoor Dal Rs 7,900, Urad Dal Rs 8,300 Moong Dal Rs 9,400, Gram Dal Rs 3,800, Sugar Rs 3,180, Wheat Rs 2,600, Maida (90 kg) Rs 2,450 and Sooji (90 kg) Rs 2,650.
