Family members allege children died due to wrong treatment

Family members of two children who died in the Burdwan Medical College Hospital (BMCH) today gheraoed the BMCH here alleging that the children died due to wrong treatment.

Two children Muskan Raut (8) and Rajib Raut (6) of Talit area of Burdwan district were admitted to BMCH at around 3.30 am with symptoms of vomiting. Muskan died at 4.30 am while Rajib died at 11, the BMCH said.

Ashok Raut the father of the two children alleged that they died due to wrong treatment as the doctors at BMCH gave them snake bite injection.

BMCH Medical Superintendent Utpal Dan said he has received the complaint from the family of the two children alleging wrong treatment.
 

Dan said he has instructed the Deputy Superintendent Tapash Kumar Ghosh to investigate the matter.

Action will be taken if any body is found guilty in the matter, Dan added.
