Family members of NRI found dead

Four members of a family were today found dead in their house in Shivpura locality here with police suspecting it to be a case of food poisoning.

Neighbours of Manoj, an NRI, informed the police about a foul smell emanating from the house, following which the police rushed to the spot and found the bodies of four members, police station in-charge of Moravan, D K Shukla said.

The deceased have been identified as Manoj's wife Sarita (44) and daughters Monika (21), Mohini (14) and Ashta (8).

Shukla said while the four stayed in the town, Manoj and his son work abroad.
 

He said prima facie it appears to be a case of food poisoning. However, the details will be known after the postmortem report.
