The family members of the man who was allegedly beaten to death by two bike-borne men in Malaysia today held a protest demanding the Centre's intervention to ensure speedy justice.

Ajay Kumar (29) was allegedly beaten to death on April 18 in Malaysia by two motorcycle-borne men who wanted to check his passport. He was working there with a private company.

"The government of India must take up the issue with the government of Malaysia so that justice is served to the family," the victim's uncle, Rakesh Bharadwaj said.

The murder should be investigated and the accused identified and punished, Bhardwaj said.

"The government must give some compensation to the family as they are very poor," he said.
