The family of army personnel Vezota Vasa, who allegedly committed suicide at Jat Regimental Centre (JRC) in Bareilly, today demanded an inquiry into the incident, saying he might have been murdered.
The family has already approached Nagaland Governor P B Acharya to intervene into the matter.
"We suspect that my son Vezota did not commit suicide but he might have been murdered on June 23 at JRC Bareilly," Vezota's father Vekhwutso Vasa told newsmen here.

The army personnel, he said, initially refused to show the family Vasa's body, but when they insisted only part of it from head to half his chest was shown.
Despite the family's request over phone, the Army had already conducted a post-mortem before they reached Bareilly.
Vasa also alleged that the family was not allowed to meet Sepoy Ajay Kumar, the first person to have seen the body of Vezota Vasa.
"We suspect foul play as Ajay Kumar reported the matter to the camp friends 40 minutes after seeing the body," he said.
Vasa also alleged that the JRC authorities has not yet handed over ATM card, bank pass books and other belongings of his son whose body was flown home and buried at Dimapur on June 25.
